You'll never find forks real cheap. They demand a price because everyone bends them Laughing

Fit an R6 front end on Wink

I have noticed that there is plenty of yzf r6 forks on eBay
There is even full front end
Forks triple tree and clamps with bars for just under 200
But has anyone ever fitted an r6 front end on a thundercat
Are the headstock bearings same size??

Find out what diamater the top and bottom yokes are
Find out what the offset of the R6 front wheel is
Find out if you share the same brakes.
Find out the head bearing and stem size.

When you find that out it will leave you with 2 options really
Put an R6 front end on it.
Modify your bike to take an R6 front end

I did the same with my Ducati, I went down the second route as it was easier, just drilled out the top yoke 3mm, created a spacer for the bottom yoke, then some 5 mm spacers for the brakes, bolted it all up, job done.

There is a lot of work involved, it isn't as simple as that, unless you have direct bolt on fitment, I didn't what ever way I did it required modifying Thumbs Up

And post in the workshop section for techincal help, and the wanted section for buying shit Rolling Eyes

Yes, but they all own or owned a Thundercat and know stuff or know people who know stuff. Some will even offer to come and give you a hand if you're nearby.

Or suit yourself.

All Thundercats are the same, aside from a few minor changes to wiring and the rear shock through the years, and a few regional variations to meet local emissions regs etc. Forks are the same.
