hmmm i dont think speed is the issue, more your exit trajectory from the bend, get that down and boom, you can blast through the hazard avoidance as fast as you like

Sorry to hear.

I'd put money on you looking at the cone and getting a spot of target fixation.

During my mod1 attempts I was 99% certain the conical little buggers had legs!
Good luck for next time Smile

sorry to hear that, I've been there done exactly that hitting the cone, all else was perfect Sad

the moral is do not look at the cones, look at middle of the space between the 2 blue cones.

Yeah them bleeding cones had me twice on mod 1 passed on the third attempt and 1st go on mod 2.
Definitely look at the far blue cone as that is where you will go and you will miss the cone.
Also make sure you go through the speed trap and then reduce the throttle otherwise engine braking will slow you just a few km/h maybe not to pass. This is what happened to me as i was too slow on the 1st attempts of the 2 mod 1s that i failed.
Also when you went through did you notice how fast the place where you should stop comes up?
BTW what was your speed through the trap?

I'm the same, failed it on Tuesday.

Figure of 8. Just got wider and wider and foot down before I hit a cone. Couldn't believe it, never had a problem with it before!

Gutted.

Did everything else spot on.

Rebooked for the 11th.

You'll get there. Good luck for the retest.

Bad news but this means you will pass the Mod2 no probs Smile

I used to practice my swerves anytime I was on a cleat bit of road and doing 35MPH and used manholes and speed humps as targets.

My instructor told me so many people fail this bit of the test & he noticed that some would have passed, if they tucked their feet in on the side where the cone was.It makes sense as those few inch's makes a difference between a pass or fail.Good luck next time
