Hello i am new to the forum and am having problems with my nsr 125 Foxeye.
I recently bought it after it had been stood for 3 years. I paid a garage to do the work needed and all was fine for 1 month. Then last week it wouldn't start.
I was told it would probably be the ignition coil so i replaced it and replaced the spark plug for good measure. Still nothing. Any ideas?

i take it you've removed the plug put the ht lead on it and held it against the head whilst trying to start it to actually check for a spark instead of just going of what someone's told you? if so then you'll need to get a multimeter and start checking your getting power to the components in the ignition system then go from there

Ok thank you very much for the reply but i have a feeling that it may be another problem. When i hit the ignition switch and open the revs it just makes a chugging sound??? Any ideas?

Whenever i press the ignition switch it clicks once from the box next to the battery? This was following on from my previous problem where i could not get a spark after changing the ignition coil and spark plug.

Any ideas? I am in need of this bike as i have serious transport issues this week. This is last day i can try to fix it Sad

Maybe try charging the battery, jump leads from a car, or a bump start, sounds like a battery, the cold and frost kills battery's this time of year.
