Evenin all, hope everyones doing good in this festive month and you've got your advent arches up Wink .

I was just wondering if any of you would make an offer and drive a 400 mile round trip for this:
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290821333182&ssPageName=ADME:X:eRTM:GB:1123
I was thinking about it, because it is the exact bike i want for winter:

Perfect for shop popping.
I'll kick it over for the nasty weather and leave the SMC under its blanket ready for those crisp dry rideouts, where it can stretch its legs.
Spousey can CBT and ride it.
I've got some supermoto wheels for it on my shelf.
Insuarance + Tax not to steep.
The Kangoo fits my dirt CR70 like a glove, so i know it will hold this. which makes a dead handy clusterbot function.
And as in september, i'm more than happy to have it shunted out from underme then stolen https://cdn.bikechatforums.com/files/x1700018sm.jpg(rather than the SMC).

But since emailing seller i'm not sure if i should make the 400mile round trip as they havent filled me with confidence:

So yesterday i said:

Dear Seller

If I make an offer which you accept, would you be avalible for me to collect the bike on friday night probably fairly late

Regards Buyer

Dear Buyer

What would your offer be?

Regards Seller

Confused

Dear Seller

A Decent one.

Also, is the bike in the picture the exact bike you are selling, or is it an identical bike? Its just it looks very mint for a year old pit bike, and wheres the plate?

Just to clarify, i assume you do have the v5, its just you havent stated that its present on the listing. and assuming you have it the frame and engine numbers all match?.

Futhurmore, what exactly happened with the time waster?

Please excuse my desire to be thorough but this would be my 7th pit bike over my few years of riding and not all of them have been what they appeared at first. Especially the road legal examples.

Lastly please provide the registration so i may conduct an HPI check before i make my offer.

I'd hate to be another time waster.

Regards Buyer

and then i get:

Dear Buyer

Well Ive actually just sold it now, if for any reason they don't come for it ill let you know.

The photo was taken a few months ago when I was originally trying to sell it, but it wasn't ridden for more than a few hours from that point. The time waster bought the bike and didn't pay or respond to any messages. I have the v5 and eBay recommend not putting the reg on the listing so I took the plate off.

Sorry

Regards Seller

Shocked Confused , eh?

Would you buy if it doesnt sell again? I know that i'm paranoid because of my previous pit purchases, but this would be the furthest i've gone and the most i've ever spent on a pit bike. and something just don't feel right in my bones. and why just the one pic when i sold my bandit i photographed it from every conciveable angle.

Any thoughts? walk away? buy somthing else? did i ask him to many invasive questions?

Cheers Y'all

Call him and have a chat, you get to hear where they are from and how they sound, then make a decision...

I would walk.

something does sound a bit fishy, and a 400 mile round trip for something that could be a complete dog is a bit of a risk.
