Honda CG125 brazil 1991 brj-k charging issue

hi guys wondering if anyone can help here

i have noticed the charging unit on my cg wont charge my battery as a result the battery dies every 2 days and needs to be recharged in the house again

i took it to my mates and we took off the magneto and looked at the points and they seemed perfectly fine but didnt open or close so we adjusted them assuming that might be the cure but then there was still no charge. the stator looks clean and shiney so i assume that works and i put a chinese reg/rec in the bike to see if it was a reg rec fault and still nothing

you can check the windings with a multimeter,sometimes the coils can burn out.
you can get new ones but first check all wiring,inside light fittings for shorts from rotting bulb bases (tHAT DUST BIS LEAD) check for water in fittings and connectors etc.

Get a multimeter and test the DC voltage from the alternator.
