Hi

My brother has an 01ish 955i Speed Triple, but the rear shock isn't the best.

Does anyone know if the shocks from a later bike will fit / any others?

I'm looking to buy one for him as an xmas present, but can't really afford the £300+ for an aftermarket.

Thanks

Dunno, any curvy shaped 955i with a single sided swinging arm should fit.

I don't think the 955i shocks are any better though, I suspect the issue is with condition not the shock itself.

I'd suggest paying to have his shock rebuilt as this will give you an excellent quality shock for the cheapest outlay.

If you want it to be a surprise, look for a knackered 955i shock and have it rebuilt. This is the only way to get it cheaper than a decent aftermarket like Nitron or something.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
