Eight weeks. Confused
To be honest, that's NOT so bad as we feared.
Appointments have been running at what, 5-6 week average, since April? I know some centers at the height of the season were pushing three months, but, others were within the week.
Last test slot before deadline could easily have 'gone' by the middle of last month.

Silver linings, you should be able to just ride in off the street and sit a test after next January. The examiners would probably appreciate some hot food and a pile of newspapers that they can sleep under, but what really matters is maintaining that tenuous shred of human contact.

Probably plenty of redundances for the dsa staff after jan,

Can't see anywhere near as many people bothering until they reach their next age bracket.

Kind of disagree with their email.

Why should I have to give up my test slot just cos someone is under 24. Not being funny but it ain't my fault someone left it too late. Why should I have to wait to ride?

It should be evaluated by if they are ready to take the tests, that what is causing slots being booked for no reason. I understand people get nervous and that's fine but I enquirer at a bike school and they told me that they put their students through the tests on day 2 to see what they fail on so they only train them on that element. Mod 1 and 2!!! - that's a waste of test space, not someone who is ready and over 24

Vent over, hope you get your licence by jan if your under 24 Very Happy

its not just age.

im trying to get my mod 2 passed before jan 19 because it took 4 attempts to pass my mod 1 and next week is attempt 4 at mod 2.

if i dont pass mod 2 before the new rules and have to start over again then frankly i'll be buying a passport and going to brussels to brake some cunts neck.

i find it utterly disgusting that if your between 1 and 2 and the new dates come in you have to start over again.

but of course the money goes to those bastards in power so they wont make it fair

edit to include main point.

also i dont have access to a higher power bike on which to take my tests so i have to do it on a 125.

so age has nothing to do with it really.

Read the post from me asking about mod 1 still valid.

Your mod 1 will still be valid as the categories don't change!!

it will mean i have to start over again or i'll get stuck on a 125 license and fuck that for a laugh.

the whole business over the changes is rotten from the core and in all honesty the gov needs to do a survey to see just how many people want the EU to be told FUCK OFF YOU MOTHER FUCKING KITTEN ROASTING THUNDER CUNTS!"

someone please add NSFW to thread title. thank you.

Usually wrong, you said it has taken you 4 times to pass Module 1 and 4 attempts at Mod 2, that's what..? 2 or 3 months worth of time, you have had more than enough time to pass the tests under the current laws, it's not the DSAs fault you haven't met the standard several times thus prolonging the time it takes to get a license

I best most of the problem is training schools. They book big blocks and only have to phone the day before to put a name to the test. If they don't use the slot they don't get their money back, so they don't bother cancelling. Not only that, if they give up a slot because they don't have a student to fill it, they essentially let a competitor have it. So they don't and the slot gets wasted.

Bitch at the DSA and tell them to start refunding the schools (or at least giving them credit) for cancelled tests.

I wasnt trying to be harsh, Just stating a fact that some people can pass all their tests within 3 weeks easily, so it's possible, You can blame the DSA for alot of things, but cant blame them for not being at the 'standard' to pass the test, Im sure you will get it next time anyway Thumbs Up Karma

i dont blame the DSA i just find its utterly disgusting that people who are caught in the middle will have to start over again just because some cunt jockey in another country decided to stick their ore in OUR countries business.
