Britain's Finest don't normally mind seeing peoples' lives turned upside-down, with lives and livelyhoods consequentially destroyed. However, when one of their own is clumsy and is brought to book, they no-like:-

Yeah so could homeowners who've repelled intruders, and have suffered enough without being taken from their already defiled homes and locked up for days.

The porkers moan when it happens to them. Fuck em.

I would say it was more of a society thing.

I think in general, if the Police acted with more respect, they would get more back from the people they are meant to serve.

I can only go by my experience, but if the coppers who pulled me over a few years back for going a 'bit' fast were assholes, I might not have been driving for quite a while...

Swings and roundabouts, I stay out of trouble and have only met one cop who was a bit of a nobber, I think he got bullied at school and hates soldiers too as he was a prick to me. Not tarring the rest of this country's police with that brush though.

Funnily enough, I have a police issue pen emblazoned "Give respect, get respect". However, that's advice for the "customers", not the warrant holders. Rolling Eyes

I also have a pencil that proudly proclaims "Covert Policing Unit". I am not at liberty to disclose whether they have accompanying hats and t-shirts. Shifty

I've met one or two decent people that have been in the police. I don't hate any one person but, as an institution, I hate the police with a passion.

Good and bad in all organisations.

Generally I view the police as good, though am very conscious of a feeling of being watched when I see them out and about.

I feel that society has become scum-ridden over the last twenty years and this makes the work (and lives) of the police very difficult.

In days of yore I crossed the line, got caught and paid the price but at no point did I resent the police. I also have a family member that is quite senior in the force so can see the role from both sides to some extent.

honestly, theres very few police around this area that i dont respect personally.

however the police force in general is very corrupt and being a copper is essentialy a "free pass" to do what you like. the few ruin it for the many and give the overall organization a bad name.

however many officers i, as said, respect, get along with and usually co-operate fully until given reason not to, then they're told to shove off and to things properly.

cimbian, i get that "being watched" feeling more from supermarket security guards more than police officers.

went down to the bike shop and was nattering away to a couple of officers before coming home. they knew me from back in 2008 and they was polite and freindly and we had a joke about it all.

hopped on the bike and off i went.

so it looks like a cop fabricated evidence and passed it on to the sun
claiming to be an eye witness
when he was off duty and nowhere near the event, seems two cops involved still claim he called them plebs
MP deny's he said it but cops are backing there own 100%

biting the hand that feeds Thumbs Up
