Hello, first time posting on the forums. I have a question about how the new rules will affect me, I have been looking on the intenet and I'm not sure what will apply to me under the new rules.

I'm 21 years old and I passed my full bike test in february of this year. As such I'm half way through the restricted bike period. I was wondering that when the new laws come in will I have to take another test in order to ride a larger bike. Or will I be able to ride any size bike I want once the 2 year period is over?

Yup, you're good. Your "A<=25kW" license will just upgrade to full A 2 years after you passed, job done.

In the meantime, just be careful about distinguishing between that and between the new "A2" 35kW category for insurance purposes. There currently isn't an A2 category, despite uninformed cretins like eBike and the DVLA (Exclamation) having used it for years.

That's a relief. I was hoping that i would have to take another test to drive larger bieks after taking a text to drive larger bikes already. I was going to get seriously annoyed if that was the case Razz
