Some nobber in a car overtook me going round a left turn, causing me and my bike to go sliding across the tarmac Crying or Very sad (shame I diddnt see the number plate). I am just about ok, but my bike lost a mirror and it's nice and scratched, and it dosn't want to start by any means (kick starting, roll starting etc). My mate is having a look at it tomorrow....as for getting home, it seems a gs500 makes quite a good tow truck!

Has anyone else had trouble starting their bike after an off?

What bike? Does it have a cut off switch to stop the engine if you drop it?

any structures nearby?

shops, homes, big brother?

someone might have caught it on cctv. worth looking around and asking.

then you can report the twat to the police and get it investigated then file a claim if its needed

It was in the middle of nowere Mad

It is a CPI Sprint. Has the Honda CG type engine. The first two things that spring to my mind are a flooded engine or the kick stand kill swich could be bust.
Confused
Tbh I might start riding with a camera on my helmet...that would do the trick

Carb leaking at all? Float may be stuck if it's been knocked about.

I had a slow off on my 125 intruder once.... took the bike back down to the garage... got it started and tried taking it round the block, it coughed, spluttered, had little power on the flat roads..... and cut out on hills. Turns out one of the spark plug leads had come loose, pushed it back in and it ran fine

Got it going again now. It was a loose plug under the tank.

It is now drilled into me that every other road user is trying to kill me Thumbs Up

Did it actually hit you? If not you just fell off and it isn't a hit and run. Thumbs Up
