Some sort of Vote-Kick system in chat.

We've had a spate of "interesting" characters (Read: people spamming) in Live Chat recently and I was wondering if it would be possible to implement a votekick system so that a majority of users can vote that another user be kicked. Possibly with staged consequences, so if you get kicked you can join after 10 mins, kicked twice 20 mins, 3 times you can join again after an hour and so on.

I can see this being abused so perhaps we could do it on the karma system? Only those with gold can vote etc.

There are already IRC vote kick scripts around but due to the way the chat is implemented as one IRC user I can't see it working (at least not out of the box!).

Just an idea, I realise that it's probably a lot of work for minor functionality!
