Seeing the Magnum ad on the BCF banner, I remembered someone recommending to me the Magnum Phantom boots for being comfy and waterproof. But I can't find those on their website - they are on eBay but not in my size.

Has anyone used Magnum boots for riding, and what's your experience with them? Are they comfy and above all, waterproof? Which model would you recommend for riding?

I use a set of Magnums, and they're fine. I have the ones that are lined with the equivalent of Goretex, and they're warmer than my SMX-5s are by a long way, as well as being waterproof.

I can't remember the name of the model of mine, though; I think they're stealth 8.0, or something similar. Either way, they're very comfortable, and I have no complaints.

Magnum Elite II 8"

I wore a pair of these for a few years while I was still in the forces. Pretty good boots, waterproof and have a proper Vibram sole.

I wear these for work but be careful, there's a lot of fakes on the market... I even bought a shit pair from Millets once.

Current pair from Sports Direct are lasting well.

I've got a pair of Magnums for work, really comfy straight from the off. Not worn them on the bike although I can't see why they wouldn't be suitable.

You don't need waterproof boots, just waterproof socks....
