Spam, adware and pop-ups

I have some kind of adware on my computer, keeps adding these toolbars and pop-ups and are starting to piss me off !

Anyone know of any good removers of this sort of crap, I've used Ad-Aware 9.0 and this has detected and removed quite alot but still some lurks. Also any good free email spam blockers around? Getting about 60 spam messages a day.

I find rather than blocking these things it is better to find out what has been added on your PC, it has probably coem from something you have run or downloaded.

Are the popups in IE or are they those windows messages that pop up every two minutes?

If so, I can talk you through removing the software that does that.

DONT USE INTERNET EXPLORER, USE FIREFOX/MOZILLA

No popups, no toolbars, and its features are immeasureably better.

ive just downloaded the new msn bar thingy, seems 2 working, it says its blocked 46 pop ups, but it may b lying to make me feel good!

If you use AOL 8 or 9, pop ups are automatically blocked, alternatively, you can use the google toolbar from this link https://toolbar.google.com which i have found to be particularly useful. I also run Zone Alarm in the background which keeps me stealthed. Ideally, wouldn't it be nice to just send a cute little worm back to their I.P address!! Razz
