I'm not sure. You don't need them anyway.

Ride to test station, remove them for peace of mind, take test, pass test, put L plates back on, ride home.

Why not just remove the L plates when you get to the test centre?

l plates aren't a part of the test, an mot is completely separate to any fine etc you may get if pulled with no L plates.

This..

It's the bke being tested not you. If you are worried about them being fitted insecurely (which might possibly mean a fail if they obscure a light say, or could end up in the wheel), then remove them before the test and put them back on after. You can't get failed on something being tested that doesn't have to be there ( I've done the same for cracked wing mirrors).

As said above, they don't care what licence you have. You can MOT a bike without a licence. All that matters is that the bike meets requirements.

You obviously need your L plates to ride to the testing station, but not for the test itself Smile

Chaps testing your BIKE for road-worthyness, not you!

But yeah.. two years on L's... WHY are they still bludy there ANYWAY!

Did you not know that they were changing licence system next month, oooooh..... when you first put the L-Plates ON!

As has been said, not part of the MOT.

But do fit it or you're giving the first copper who's having a bad day the perfect oppertunity to slap you with a £60 fixed penalty notice and three points on your licence.
