So I thought i'd put in some quotes just out of interest what it'd cost me for a 400 with 2 claims under my belt within 1 year, one against me for £3000

So I looked at something old, this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-GSXR-400-GK71B-1985-Classic-Spares-or-Repair-Project-or-Restoration-/321041021800?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4abf893b68

And did a quote...
£217 Shocked
Considering my YBR is £350...

I thought lol, GSX that's gonna cost a bomb but apparently not
Is it purely because it's OLD as FUCK?

Where do they get their magic numbers?!

Renewal time for me in January, so running a few quotes.

Same bike, same address, now added another year NCB compared to last year, with another year of experience on the bike. Insurance from the same broker (Express Insurance) goes up £50 somehow. HOW?!

So will probably be going to Swintons who are quoting me £150 TPFT.

Fantastic, sat in garden so burns no fuel.

Also managed to get from Orpington to Maidstone without using any.

Van.

The rvf has a small tank and an engine that says to me please keep me above 8000 rpm where possible, if I do ride it gently mpg isn't that bad, but due to the small tank you still need to fill up often.

Bike kept in alarmed, locked garage, 29 years old, 6 years no claims and clean licence (fingers crossed it stays that way). Medium risk post code.
