I'm working on the carbs of a friends Aquilla (125 V twin) and since putting it all back together it won't run! I was fine before I started, just that occasionally it would run rough so I though cleaning the carb out would be a good idea as the bike had stood for about a year with out use. BTW the tank and the whole fuel system was drained and filled with new fuel.
Fuel is filling the float chambers and the ignition seems OK as I can sometimes get it to fire by priming.
Generally through all the attempts to start it the plugs have remained dry.
But the problem seems to be that the throttle slides are not moving up and down. Therefore not allowing the needle to lift clear of the main jet.
It seems that this movement is caused by a vacuum created above the diaphragm when the butterflys are opened with the throttle cable. The carb is/are Mikuni BDS 26 (twin) and look like this:- https://www.seaies.com/New/sec2.html
I'm lost as to what i did wrong when re-assembling them.
Any guidance would be appreciated. ____________________ Maxsym 400i 2013, Sterling 125 2017, Honda Wave110i 2014,
