A network of 36 speed cameras on the M25 has caught no one in a year because none has been switched on.

I think cameras work more effectively as a visual deterrent anyway, only for a short distance mind you.

Is there a way to verify how many accident were caused due to speed in that time in the given 'sectors', and how many were fatal?

You have obviously been on it at the wrong time of day! I'm very often doing well over the speedlimit on my private section of the M25.

I assume this doesn't include the ones on the variable speedlimit sections? They only work when the signs are showing a speed apparently.
