This is why I hammer on the point that the critical question to ask before buying any bike is "But what about parts"? Warranty support isn't worth much if you buy from some back alley importer who gets in crates of bikes but no parts for them.
There's little point in you ranting at them if they genuinely just can't get parts for it. You need to help them find a solution, then get them to pay for it. In this case, it sounds like you'd be better off trying to find an equivalent part. It's an ignition coil for a single cylinder 125: 12 volts go in, many volts come out.
I'm not entirely sure what that engine is copied from though. It seems to be a 56.5mm bore OHC, so it's not the Honda CG125 (OHV), the EN125 (57mm bore). Hello, Jainshe JS-125, although that's supposed to be a copy of the 54.mm square bore YBR 125.
The importer might know, or you could contact CMPO (yes, I know it's not Chinese) and ask them if they can supply anything suitable.
Pics would help, I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. If it's just that there are exposed wires that should be under a rubber cap then it's not rocket surgery to bodge something up. Worst case, just gloop the whole area in silicone sealant. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

The bike shop have been very good to be fair to them in regards to picking it up but that is another matter isn't it.

Me and the AA patrol man both came to the conclusion it had been bodge jobbed because he couldn't be arsed ordering the necessary plug.
What I require is a plug the wires have been cut back twice now and had two cd terminals connected and forced to fit. It was filled with some sort of seal Saturday and cable tied up nicely facing towards the oncoming jizz I face every day it rains causing it to cut out.
The WD40 trick is working either that or the rain has changed direction. |

Ok I have rinsed the front grill and lightly the unit in wd40 and just took it around the block and up the main road it seems to be working beautifully but how long is it likely to last?
Now my question is would you risk a thirty odd mile commute tonight to work in the pissing rain? I do have AA road side cover but every time I have ever mentioned the nearest garage they look at me as tho I just told them where Maddie is.
Keep in mind you can do nothing but apply WD40 and just about make the call to AA I won't tell you why. |
