Why don't you ask him?

If it's drinkable, drink it otherwise use it to light fires.

Yes, it's whisky from Latvia. No law against it. The Japanese are getting increasingly good at whisky by all accounts.

From Google:
Quote:
Latvia’s only whisky-producing distillery is Riga’s Latvijas Balzams. The two Latvian ‘viskijs’ produced there are “LB” and “Aleksandrs”. Both are said to be distilled from Latvian rye in 1993. “LB” is light, grainy, spirity, with an odd almost creamy kind of sweetness. “Aleksandrs” has a quite unusual, but not unpleasant, nose, reminding me of a mixture of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. It’s an extremely light whisky, but clearly comes from the same stable as “LB”. Again, repeated attempts to contact the company for more information on their whiskies and distilling methods were all met with silence.

This is where the haggis shaggers have conned the world by making people think only Scotchland makes whiskey.

Wink

From what I've heard, the Japanese have been buying up Scottish distilleries, distilling the wort and then maturing it in casks in Japan so that it is then a Japanese whisky.

others try to copy our Whisky but can't quite match it
the water quality and source plays a major factor in the final product

With or without an e depends on where it is from. US and Ireland tend to use an E, most other countries don't. Possibly originally the US used an E and the Irish distillers went with that spelling to differentiate their products from what were very poor whiskies produced in Scotland at the time.

All the best

Putting an CH in Scotchland is just to piss the Scotch off and the E is there to mess with their heads too.

No, I just test them. And which don't result in a severe beating pass the test.

All the best

Penderyn is one of my favourites. The peated malt is get very good. It's matured in Laphroaig casks.

The distillery is well worth a visit too. They're very generous with their measures.

Fuck it, I'll just drink the stuff and think of England. Must admit that it has the appearance of a gigantic 'sample'.
