What are some good things to buy or download apart from the highway code book?

Any tips as well? Thanks.

Want to get my theory done ASAP, unfortunately will have no choice but to do Mod 1 and Mod 2 after the new laws come intact. Grrrrr!

I just hopefully want to pass first time, don't fancy paying £31 each time for minor fails in just questions.

Just get the official Theory Test for Motorcycles book, and go over ALL the questions, again and again until there's no question left that you are not sure of.
Ideally get one which comes with a CD so you can practice the HPT as well. You need to learn how to work this one, so practice lots of clips until you get the hang of it. HPT is like a video game so you need to learn the 'technique' to pass it rather than anything else.

Yeah I don't want to keep resitting it when I can practice before taking it.

I know it varies from person to person but how long do you think I should practice for before booking it?

I have an iPhone so have got an app with the theory test on it, do you know of any websites that do the hazard perception one so I can practice that as well?

With these new laws coming in will I need to re-sit my theory after two years from the A2 restriction to the A one?

I did the practice tests on the DVLA website and read the Highway Code.

I don't see the point in any of the DVD's really. It's all superfluous.

The theory test costs 5 hours' wages at min wage. There is no other penalty for failing it. Spending ridiculous amounts of time revising for it seems silly.

Especially given that the 'hardest' part is the Hazard Perception Test, which none of the DVD's emulate accurately enough. They don't know what the algorithm is that decides "you've clicked too much, bro", or example.

I always pass the mock ones on my iPhone app, after a few attempts.

I got a Hazard Perception one and this bugger is dodgy, passing it though.

Will book for after the New Year.

Don't wanna fail, £31 isn't cheap every time.

Although I'm a Geordie so I doubt I will fail anyhow! Wink haha!

Theory test involves a lot of common sense answers. To touch up on the small portion that may involve regurgitation of knowledge, the DVLA website will provide sufficient help. If you need more than that, you don't need to pay, there is plenty available for free on the internet. Google is your friend.
