Before you do anything, get under the bike where the connector is just below the oil level window and have a good look at the condition of that connector. My '04 was pretty mint but that exhaust connector was well rotted away behind the chrome shield. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Here's the link pipe link :-
www.passionauto.co.uk/products/viper-suzuki-gsf600gsf650-bandit-stainless-steel-exhaust-link-pipe.html?gshopping
If you can afford it, and you're keeping the bike for a while, treat it to a complete stainless system, they don't rust like the steel ones and are easier to keep clean.
If you shop around, I'd have thought that you could pick up a decent system for about £350.....maybe less. If you want to do it on the cheap, look out for a good used system.
The problem with removing it can be with the exhaust studs that hold the exhaust onto the cylinder head. If they're rusted, there's a good chance they will snap rather than unscrew. Not the end of the world but a bit of a pig to sort out. ____________________ Space Is Deep |

The header bolts on my '04 all came out - but only just.
On my '96 Mk1 they all snapped, as detailed elsewhere. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
