Thinking of buying a Nitro Aikodo helmet but are they any good? Thanks.

All people have different shape heads. The helmet is safe only if it fits well your head. You NEED TO GO AND try it in the shop.

See how to fit here: https://sharp.direct.gov.uk/content/how-fit-your-helmet

It is good idea to buy also a helmet that has a visor that supports Pinlock system, long story short if you are riding during rain which happens in UK you will need to fit special Pinlock visor insert in order to prevent visor fogging.
