got my x11, went and picked it up erlier, ride was pretty nice although do need to lower the back by about 8 meters so im not sat with my balls against the tank!

exhausts are pretty damn loud.

So current plans..

lower the rear end as its pretty damn high
sort the issue with the battery out
fix indicators
strip and respray front mudguard aswell as left + right front fairings.
wrap the frame to cover up the scratches.
return the headlights from twins to single, maybe even some angel eyes?

I can now wrap the frame and fix the scratches.

Turns out headlights not that bad so could just replace the glass and job done.

waiting on moneys for the hangers managed to secure 1 hanger waiting on other.

got battery charged, left it overnight and bike started first time Smile

tried again a few hour later started first time again so it may be holding its charge after all.

1st attempt at ever wrapping was shite!
full of bubbles scratches showing a little bit and generaly shit.

2nd attempt, much better but still not perfect.

Have enough left to rip it all off and start again when i get time.

I was hoping you were going to wrap it in farbon or chrome effect.

As you've noticed by now. The area to be wrapped needs to be spotlessly clean, smooth and degreased to get a good result.

Cheap wrap doesn't help, from experience, you really can tell the difference when you're working with 3M wrap. Good to practice with the cheap stuff though, If you can work with that, the 3M stuff will fly on..

turns out it didn't work all that well so p38 is on the list with some farbon probably.

decided that worst case ill be £4 down but be up on experience with wrapping, still got enough to do both sides all over again properly and see where it goes.

what about wrapping it with the cheap shit as a layer then going farbon on top? or going to just look utter shite?

I didn't really clean it off properly i just went at it ham fisted with some cheap shit hoping for the best.

Not much of an update but...

£110 lighter both hangers have been orderd, come with the footpegs so saves me buying rider right + both pillions.

battery issue is solved, turns out the alarm was causing issues and killing the battery pretty quick.

rear end was modified and raised using what looks like meccano..
piece of steel with holes in for adjustment... lowered it down by about 6" ish so i no longer feel like im giving myself a vasectomy, might just remove the plate and put it to standard.

Also softened the suspension by 1 but may need another.

got the bent crash bung out after hammer abuse and sawing at it like mad.

made a start on removing the dent from right exhaust pipe.

currently on hold as the weathers decided another thunderstorm and rain is due.

Update.

got a headlight from unspeedysam, both hangers have arrived leaving me £110 lighter Evil or Very Mad

so it was time to attack!!

went out ripped the old dominator headlights off and run into many problems.. brackets galore that a previous owner had bodged beyong belief, wiring that had been done by a chimp.

but after an hour of pissing around i have a standard original headlight fitted.

Still need to fit hangers but lack of tools still waiting on delivery of sockets allen keys and other such delights.

Got indicators all working, brake light works.

been a productive day.

All thats left is:

Fit hangers.
reattach fairing
sort wiring under seat a little more.
tidy up some of the paintwork.
Tax
mot.
