Hi
I am soon to purchase a new exhaust can for my 2001 Hornet.
The Hornet has a high level exhaust and the OEM one has an additional heat shield layer over the can. Aftermarket ones don't.!
I would imagine that a standard stainless one may get quite hot and perhaps cause problems for a pillions leg.?
Does one made of carbon fiber radiate as much heat as a stainless one.? (been told it does not)

Carbon can on my bike just gets a bit warm. Much cooler than a heat shield from an OEM pipe. ____________________ MCForum meetup - One of the biggest motorcycle clubs in UK |
