Hi.
Managed to pick up a survey spike and pad in my car tyre. What the hell!? Shouldn't they be nailed into the road? Either way, im fairly certain the tyre is ruined, do you think i could try claiming for a new tyre? The tyre didn't blow out, but when i stopped.to investigate a thumping noise, i could hear the tyre defeating Sad
It was a main A road, so not too sure who to ring.
Any advice?Thanks

I've had a thorn in my tyre several times. Tried going to church and asking the vicar to have a word with god for me, y'know, to get compensation for my loss.

I doubt whether, you would get anywhere with claim.
How can you prove who put the survey nail into the road, any randomer could go along and hammer one in!

Or any scrote can come along and knock it out - for the lols innit.

Surveyors dont tend to put them in roads, because the traffic is a bit of a pain in the arse when you try to set up the tripod. You are more likely to find them in the footway or a different sort of marker in the verge, so I doubt you could prove liability if one was on a carriageway.

Im not expecting anything to be honest. I have rung them this morning, the bloke was quite surprised! He has taken details and passed on to claims. The tyre shop bloke said the rim could also be damaged Sad
