heres my bike, was a bargin off ebay last year, was a stolen and recovered bike so was missing parts and was in generaly a bad state. more oil/mud than bike lol. spent at least 10 hours just cleaning before i could even start refurbing. Full bike was striped, frame had been striped back to bare metal, all linkage bearings replaced, engine has had a full refurb (seals and bearings and top end) PV was in excellent condition ( very very surprised) about 95% finished but due to a injury progress has slowed.

mods are
17" kawsaki gpz 500 wheel conversion,
kawasaki kx250 rear panels,
Sat nav (replaced clocks as they were missing)
derbi senda headlight,
acerbis mini brake light,
heavier fork oil,
also now have a bigger brakes front and rear with upgraded pads.
custom rear hugger
wrap around hand guards
raceline alloy levers
exhaust end can has been mod'd since these pics were taken
new chain/sprockets
rear shock will be set up for my weight.

when i got it was stolen/recovered with lot of damage and parts missin

all there is left to do is rebleed the rear brake as the fluid was brown.

Excellent work there dude!

That looks fantastic, and I'm very interested in the GPZ500 wheel conversion too! Fuck paying £600+ for SM wheels when some nice re-furbed cast wheels can look so good! The brake disc is also on the correct side for my KMX as well! Smile

I bet there is not a more fun bike on this forum for having a riot on around town and LOL's on every urban ride.

I've not ridden a TSR200, but want to one day. I'd just like to see how they, the TS250X and the MTX200 compare to the KMX and DTR200's, that I know and love.

yeah the wheel cost me £32 quid including postage and tyres. and cost a huge 3 quid to clean, strip, polish the edge and repaint. they use the same axles so all i had to do was make spacers and a bracket for the front, the rear i had to machine the disc down 10mm as was too big so i resurfaced front and rear while i had them off. tbh it so a fun bike to ride and get loads of attention. a lot of people are surprised when they see the reg plate as a lot think its a lot newer bike. BTW its for sale Very Happy

just another little update. was gonna take for a ride last week to find the clutch was slipping Sad to make it worse the kick start retaining nut had been rounded off. had to cut it off and when i was half way though and the nut loosened itself so i could undo with my fingers very happy about that. Any way warm bike up and then dropped the oil mmm nice black colour with hint of water.
Clutch stripped off was expecting to be nackered and to my shock looked new. i bought a EBC one off ebay as well. all stripped off and cleaned the old oil off refited and fresh oil and she works perfect. glad i got it sorted so can finaly ride her on the new wheels and adjust where needed.
