Does anyone else have this problem? It really frustrates me to the point where unless I really need it I just don't bother with my silk balaclava any more.

Whenever I put my helmet on the top of the balaclava slips over my eyes and obstructs my view so I have to take my helmet off, readjust and retry, it's almost impossible if there isn't a mirror there to see what I'm doing. From looking at the shape of the balaclava the hole for eyes is on a slant in neutral position which means you have excess material,

That's pretty much the shape of it:

I'm just wondering if anyone else suffers from this...disorder,

Thanks,
Seigi.

Use a headover instead; it's basically an open ended sock that goes over your head and neck. Put it over your neck, then pull it up over your ears so that it covers your face up to your eyes, and pull the other side to about the crown of your head, then slide your helmet on over it.

Something like this, ebay has loads

I have simular issue, I wear an Oxford comfy around my neck, and pull it over my head, but as I put my lid on, it pulls the comfy back down.

What I do..put it on further, so once it's pulled down, it's in the right place.

I have the same type of balaclava, what I do is (if this makes any sense I'll be surprised) put it on, then put the helmet against my forehead and slide it back over my head so that the helmet keeps the balaclava tensioned.

You could try putting it on further up so the lower bit is covering your eyes, so when you slide they helmet on, it pulls it down correctly.

I tend to use stuff that only does my lower face, but will often put it too high up so the helmet pulls it down a bit.

Wearing a balaclava always gave me a painful cramp behind the ears that stopped me from being able to ride. Crying or Very sad

1. Lift lid slightly.
2. Grab balaclava at back of neck.
3. Pull balaclava down at back so front part rises.
4. Pull lid down.
5. Your BCF character takes a -10 MP (Man Points) hit and +1 STPD (Stupid) for having someone else point out the fucking obvious to you. Your alignment is now Chaotic N00b for 3 turns.

[EDIT] Oh well, if you're going to rate my post as abusive, you humourless cunt, I'd better make it worth my while...

Tit tape. It's essentially double sided tape but its designed to hold strapless dresses in place and stop tits from falling out of said dresses, it's very good!

Slap some of that over your forehead and stick your balaclava in place. You will look like a twat when you take it off though. Or you could just move your balaclava up a bit like G suggested....

I just use those comfeys we end up getting free every now and then. I pull the thing up over my head so its covering my eyes. Pull the helmet on and then pull the comfey down from under the chin so it covers my nose and mouth.

Job done.

I use one of the "snood"-type neck warmers too.
Pulled up over the crown of my head, then put the helmet on towards the back of my head first (to hold the back of the snood in place), then slide the helmet over the front of my head

I just do the "place it higher up than you want it" thing, occasionally I don't get it right and have to take the helmet off and try again... but generally if I'm wearing the balaclava it means it's effin' cold outside and it's taken me ages to layer up... so what's another 15 seconds! I've only wore it once since that icy spell we had in late November/Early December.
