ok so getting the trade from honda in next couple of weeks ..
now i need insurance for 1 day on the cbr 125 .. just so i can drive it to another garage to sell it ..
anyone know of a insurance company that will do it ?
btw over 40 .. if that helps ..

Just chuck a legit plate on it, ride and swap plates over a few feet from their door.

Ghetto trade plates.

Just pay for a policy, cancel it once you arrive, state you were going to view and buy, but you never bought the bike.

Although...thinking about it, if it has no insurance, it should be SORN.

If it has no tax, you gonna get raped.

Cant say iv'e used them but MCN recommend this site for short term insurance for bikes www.flexirider.co.uk.

Could you just sell / trade it to the dealer that it's being delivered to? It's Honda UK paying for it, it's not like they'll care.

Unfortunately with effect from 30th April 2012 we will no longer be able to offer temporary insurance on motorbikes or scooters.
For the last 3 years we have been the only company in the market providing this cover, initially underwritten by Chaucer and latterly by Catlin. Both companies have decided to pull out of this sector of the market, and despite our best efforts we have not been able to find a replacement underwriter.
As a biker myself I fully understand the convenience our Flexirider cover provided – I used it myself several times to ride mate’s bikes! – but we just haven’t been able to find an alternative insurer. We’ll keep trying, so please continue to keep an eye on our site and hopefully you’ll eventually see some better news!

When you pick a bike up from the dealer... they will never accept it at the price it left them.

Take £500 off maybe more.

Add additional owners.

Add their cut as its "used" and not Brand New.

£2500-£2600.

Why you don't sell privately I don't know. Laughing

Stick it on ebay (private ad) / gumtree and it will be gone within two weeks. Is january the start of the new year. No point selling it to a dealer who is going to sell it again for even more money which you could of had made.
