I stupidly bought some used 1 piece leathers off ebay a few months back (£50), they were apparently my size but they are so tight that I can't get them on and off without someone pulling them off! Should they be this tight? I know they're supposed to be tight for safety, but wondered if other poeple had any problems with them? Or should it be that if they are easy to get on and off then they are too big?

Either they're not your size, or you're not your size. Or both.

If you can't get them on and off then your £50 gamble didn't pay off. Punt them back on, with an honest advert.

They are awkward to work over your shoulders if the right size.
Are they OK once on and in riding position?
It's partly technique, one arm first on or off works best usually, also a close fitting under-layer will help.

Yeah tried that but they are still really tight around the thighs, and I'm not fat! I had good correspondence from the seller so don't feel cheated, but yeah maybe I will sell them on as they're not the best for commuting anyway. T be honest I've not tried them while riding yet, I don't want to drop the bike if I can't move!

Sell them on. State they're small for the size in the areas you find them small and they'll be exactly what someone is looking for. I can't imagine a scenario where you'll lose the £50. At that price someone will take a punt on them.

If I were you, I'd put them back on eBay.
Take some really good photos in good light, try not to use a flash. Take pictures of all the suit, front and back as well as the knees and elbows or any of the bad bits. People want to see what they are buying.
List the item with the brand name in the title and be as descriptive as possible; for example if they are fitted with CE armour, get that in the title.
Measure the suit. Lay it out flat and measure across the armpits x2 for the chest size (allow a bit for the thickness of the material). Measure the waist, inside leg and crotch to knee. The legs are usually short so measuring form the crotch to knee gives a better idea of the length.
List the item at about 9:00 pm or schedule it to start at that time (costs 6p).
It always feels like a gamble, but starting at a low price with no reserve will attract more interest. It's maybe not a good time to sell motorcycle gear yet - if you could leave it another few weeks you may have a good chance of selling for more than you paid.
Finally, offer postage. It will get you a wider audience.
