Yes we are getting screwed!

it is one of the plus points for having something like a CG or similar because then your only filling up once a month.

Hi

Well, few more fuel prices. The AA update this monthly but don't tend to advertise it very well:-

https://www.theaa.com/allaboutcars/fuel/motfue001.html

Only country which has anything like as as high a fuel price is the Netherlands, but then they flog diesel at around 25p a litre less than the UK.

All the best

Keith

I've heard that in some parts of London petrol prices are as high as £1 per litre, I'm paying 81.9 pence per litre which i think is bad.

It is a terible state of affairs, I must admit. I am filling up my 50cc twice a week at £3, being 16 I don't want to be spending quite so much with a low income, but hey I enjoy riding my bike so I don't really mind. Smile

I went to visit friends in the States last year and had a V6 Pontiac hire car. I had to fill it up half way through my visit and from just under half a tank it took just $12.68 (I remember the exact figure as I shook my head in disbelief) to fill just over half a tank.

I reckoned about $20-25 to fill it completely.

It was about that point that I really had a hankering to go and live in the US. Rolling Eyes

And yet, the yanks whinge like buggery if the price of petro goes up by more than a few cents a gallon!

While we get shafted, right royally, by the government for 75% tax on every litre.

Haha!

It's still 77.9p where I work in Sainsbury's, I can get it for around 73.9p with some engineering too. Very Happy

That's down south too, not miles up there. *points up*

Edit: spelling correction above

I've been using Optimax for a while at about 87p a liter, if the prices start to go up I'll just go back down to regular for the same money.

The government really need to get the heads out of their arses and listen to what people are saying. They are SUPPOSED to be there for us not the other way around.

I also want to know why the money I pay in road tax is never used to fix the roads. They seem to think that they can get away with letting the roads deteriorate to a dangerous state.

I'd be careful with the cheaper supermarket petrol. I've heard more than once that you pay less coz it's crap quality so you might end up paying more in the long run when it knackers your engine. Thumbs Down

Well at our local Tesco's it is 82.9 per litre and at the local Esso it is 83.9 Per litre.

I use Tecso's incidently.

Because the government of the people, for the people, by the people, have to fund the war in Iraq at several million pounds a day. So where do you think it's going? They have to fund it from somewhere. There isn't another form of day-to-day profit that they can use. Other than income tax.

You're right, they need to listen to what the British population wants, not what the stupid dum dickhead in the white building in Washington wants. Evil or Very Mad
