Advice needed please.

Regarding my crash and my gear, it was all cut (I was wearing full gear)
But it was then put in bags and sat in my garage for a few weeks, since I have just found out my dad took it all to the tip!

Now then, where does this leave me with insurance and showing my gear was destroyed?

Any advice is much appreciated!

Insurers accept that once involved in a crash, kit should be replaced on the grounds of safety, so they will not usually contest the issue.

Obtain estimates for like for like replacements, just make sure that if for example you were wearing a £100 helmet you don't try and claim for a £400 hat.

If the estimates are reasonable, then there will not be much of a problem.

If however you were wearing top of the line kit, then if you have receipts from the original purchase, photo's of you wearing the kit or witnesses that can confirm the make of kit you had, then this will certainly help your case.
