i Guys,

Just after a little advice. I have a ps2 with San andreas and a save thats about 3/4 of the way though. I found out that san andreas is available on the ps3 so decided to buy it from the store. I bought myself a memory card adaptor from ebay that registers in my ps3 and shows up the contents of the Ps2 card. I next created an internal memory card on the Ps3 and copied the san andreas game save to it and assigned it to port one. loaded up san andreas and tried to load game but it doesn't show my ps2 saved game on the ps3. PS3 slim by the way. 120GB.

Wanted to use it on the PS3 due to the wireless controllers and the fact i dont have space for both consoles.

Should this be possible or i'm i asking for a miracle to happen?

tried searching google most of last night with no success!

Thanks in advance for any help!

I worked at Sony during the PS1->PS2 switch over, and all I can give you is a vague answer. It depends on the developer...

- If Rockstar haven't created the functionality to auto transfer your save then you're unlikely to be able to do it easily.
- You may be able to get the save over to the new device, but you're still using a PS3 that uses the Sony libraries for saving and retrieving data which probably don't play nice with dodgy bits of hardware.
- I expect if you had a 1st gen PS3 you'd be able to access those m/c files when playing PS2 games on the PS3.
- your last option would be to get the data over to a PC along with a brand new save, you may just be able to figure out the save game format, munge the two files together and get it back on the PS3. Then you just have to hope that Rockstar haven't altered the save format internally and it is just the Sony libraries.
