SOLD
Hi all,

I've finally got around to putting the fairings back on this and offering it up for sale. I bought this bike around 18 months ago with the intention of repairing it and using it over winter. I played around with it for a few months then other things got my attention and it fell by the wayside. It's been sitting in my garage taking up space for last last year or so and now I think its time to get rid of it. Today I checked it still turns over (it does) and popped the fairings and tank back on it.

This bike is a project, and the following things are known issues:

* Fairings need repair/sanding/spraying if you want it to look like new
* Sidestand needs another spring to stop it hitting the chain (I made up a bodge bracket to hold the sidestand which works fine, its up to you what you do)
* It doesn't run properly, the engine did run when I last tried (about 8 months ago) but it had a couple of issues. These being that it would rev fine in neutral, but once put in gear it had no power and wouldn't rev up. I'm fairly sure that this is a carburation problem but I haven't had a chance to sort it.
* It has an "open filter" fitted to the carb and Crank Case breather. The carb has been upjetted to suit but I also have an original airbox I bought to fit which will go with the sale.
* One of the brakes appears to be binding slightly. Theres probably just some crap behind the pads and it might well go away with a little bit of use. It wasn't binding when it was laid up.
* There is no battery fitted.

This bike needs work, it's perfect for somebody looking for a nice little project to work on as I don't think it'll take too much to get it back on the road. For the MOT it will at least need:

* The front indicators refitting (I have these)
* The Brakes sorting out
* A rear reflector

It may well need other things, I checked the fork seals briefly today and they seem fine but I'm not guaranteeing anything.

If you want this bike to look like its in mint condition then it will need the fairing repairs finishing, sanding down and either spraying or vinyl wrapping. The bike does need mechanical work, as I say above I think the problem lies with carburation but I could be wrong. The bike has a Suzuki engine with a Mikuni carburettor and a lot of parts are available from Robinsons Foundry (the part numbers were listed on the Sachs XTC forum).

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. I'm looking for £250 collected from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. You won't be able to ride this bike away. V5 is in my name and I have the key.

This bike is no pretty picture but with some time and work it could be sorted out fairly easily. I just don't have time anymore with so many other projects on the go.

Pictures are below, if you want anymore PM me:
