Advice needed

Bought rst tour master jacket and trousers at manchester bike show on Sunday and saved thirty quid so well happy . But would it be a good idea to waterproof them from new ? Would it give them extra protection?

Looks pretty similar to my RST Enduro, also with the Sinaqua lining. It was properly waterproof for a year or so and then started to seep very slightly in the elbows, so I wouldn't do anything up front. If it leaks early on, then that's a warranty issue.

Yeah I think I will leave it until it leaks. I'm not planning on riding in the rain unless I get caught out. I will have waterproof over suit in my top box as an extra precaution.

My current jacket is an RST and has never leaked and I've had it for about 3 years. Why don't you want to ride in the rain? I love riding in the rain, I don't know why but it just feels good!
