Am i correct i thinking it is legal to have your driving license registered at one address where i am able to receive mail and the V5 / Insurance registered at another address where the vehicle will be kept overnight more than 51% of the time?

Will this flag anything up on ANPR as far as the police are concerned? and will it void the insurance in the event of a theft claim?

Could be a problem in the event of a claim, you can only have ONE main address, personally I would not insure like that.

Bike is insured at the place it is kept. That is fine.

my insurance required the address on my licence to match that where the bike was, could just have been my insurers being an arse though.

Threatened to cancel the policy unless I sent them of copy of the licence at the address the bike is kept at

Asked my insurance (eBike) as I am in the same situation and they said they dont care if the license is registered elsewhere, they want the policy to be at the address where it is mainly kept over night.

Speak to the insurance. But dont forget your V5 and Insurance will need to be in same address for tax reasons.

It won't be a problem for most insurers. Over the last 16 years I have always been insured at a different address from where the vehicle was registered, for much of that my licence was also registered at a third address.

I have had multiple claims over that period (3 thefts, 3 times run into, 1 time my wife did the running) and taxing has never been an issue either. Insurance is risk related so must be correct, the other two are just about being contactable and so have to be an address to which you have an association.
