Bit of a specialist one, the rider I occasionally spanner for (Peter Carr) is selling his GP45 race bike. This bike won the 2012 NG GP45 championship by a country mile, in the process setting 6 new track records and terrorising the 650 mini twins.
Bike is based on a 2011 KX450F Kawasaki motocross bike with a full GP45 road kit installed which consists of upgraded Mupo forks (non standard aftermarket) clip-ons, rearsets, reworked shock, RSV Mille front disc and Brembo caliper, Derbi 125 rims, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres (present set done 1 round, so good condition), fully specced digital dash, woven fibreglass fairings (very tough).
Motor is standard for reliability, however, as a matter of course it was professionally rebuilt by experienced single cylinder engine builder under 10 hours of race use ago, including new valves, new piston and rings and gaskets. Oil and filter changed every round (roughly an hour to an hour and a half use per change) so very well maintained. Top end of roughly 120 depending on gearing but with extremely flexible and consistent delivery.
Wet weight is roughly 110kg so very flyweight. Handles like little else, described as much like a 250 2 stroke in characteristic. Bike is very reliable, no mechanical issues to note during this years racing.
Spare set of rims, with decent Dunlop wets presently fitted, part worns to go with bike, full set of sprockets for gearing options.
Reluctant sale to fund BSB 600 Superstock Season this year. Make excellent bike for GP45 championship or ultimate bike for trackday toy. Total build cost over £10k, looking for £5200 ono.
