...to find the new hasp and staple I put on a while ago, when I had a padlock malfunction, in pieces on the floor, padlock nowhere to be seen, with big gouges in the wood of the door near the Yale. The other hasp was bent where they'd had a go at that too, but luckily that was still intact. Either the scum had been disturbed or they just couldn't get the other staple to break - they don't make stuff like they used to. I remember one of the neighbours security lights going off a lot the other night and one of my other neighbours (mental off-roader with a garden full of Land Rovers and a garage that you would die for) said his dogs were going mental the same night.
Anyway, I've managed to secure it, the alarm's functional (Xena remote alarm with internal sounder, and an external sounder that goes mental if the connecting wire's cut and they can't get to that one) and the handles have been wrapped up with another chain and padlock. Any suggestions on what to replace it with? I need another hasp/staple/padlock combination, but I'm thinking of investing in something that's more difficult to attack, but I don't know what the best thing might be. ____________________ Responsibility. A few of these tied to the inside of the door maybe, so when they pull it open, they absolutely soil themselves.

Only issue is, you'd need to remember to unclip it as you open the door yourself. |
