well, they're finally fitted!

I was going to take the bike for it's MOT first, just in case the new ones were too loud, but folded and did them today. in a way, i'm glad I did, as when I removed the motad can, I was greeted with this..........

you may be able to see that the end can is cracked most of the way around, so it wouldn't have been long till it fell off

anyway, removal of the motad is easy, and fitting of the delkevic equally so. the exhaust header nuts came off easily and nothing snapped or rounded off. I might go buy a lottery ticket later..... Laughing as someone noted before, the mounting straps need to be mounted on the outside of the rear peg hangers, but that didn't cause any issues either.

the finished result:

it is loud. damn loud. in fact, I no longer have an issue with wind noise in my lid. I cant even hear the wind anymore lol :S

anyway, thanks to Gary and Tez from the GPZ500 forum for making my bleeding eardrums a reality..... my neighbours now hate you!

cheers for looking,

Lee

Looks nice! I've been considering getting the Delkevic cans for my GPZ500.

When I first got it the downpipes created a massive hole on my way home so I had to get them replaced, but now the cans are blowing. Gutted.

My mates got these on his GPz, loudest bike I've ever heard with the baffles out. There's no character to the sound IMO. Insist I always ride I front of him as it winds me up that much

Nice!

Definitely suits the bike better than the old 'rounded' cans.

if you havent thrown the bits away- let me know what the FAB number is on the silencer

We stopped putting badges on 8 years ago so its at least that old- even Motads are defeated by salt and use after 10 years or so!
