I've just returned from a week's skiing and used an app on my phone called ski tracks. It logs all sorts of information, average/top speed, routes, altitude, distance travelled, etc. and logs it in graphs and maps. It's a really great app and it got me thinking if there was anything similar for biking.

In theory I can use the ski app for much of the information, but it'll think I'm on a chairlift if I ride up a hill. But if there was something that was optimised for biking and allowed you to upload routes you've ridden with pictures for other riders to view I think that'd be great.

I have found an app called greatest road which covers the route side of things, but doesn't track your actual journey or log any real time info. It's just a map with suggested routes.

Anyone know of anything?

Theres an app called my tracks which records your route/elevation/speed think it allows route info to be shared online too.

Its meant for cyclists but has no issue keeping it up. It even had a horrible squiggly mess for where I got stuck on Friday and was moving back and forward to get out

I have a app called pirelli diablo super biker, does exactly what you want.

I rarely use it, Only when I want to see how long a route was really, Wouldn't like the data being used against me.

iPhone or Android? If iPhone, I use "Easy GPS Log". I like it as it can email myself a CVS of the journey, which I can then stick in to a spreadsheet and upload to Google Maps.

The only bike app i use or have used is Diablo super biker, it tells you your max speed, average speed etc.

It also includes a full map of your journey, so you can look through and see what speeds you were doing on what road, and you can put your bike make/ model and tyre information into it.

Also i think you can upload data with map straight to Facebook (if that is what you want to do).
