.
Titax levers. Worth the coins or not.?

Wish to replace the levers on my Hornet so any other suggestions will be appreciated. Smile

Get a set of Chinese 'Spazzos'. About £25 off eBay. I'm sure the Titax are a good lever but I have had a couple of Chinese sets for both the Gladdy and the Striple with no problems.

I went through 3 sets of spazzos, through crashing rather than failures. The thicker ones labelled 'MotoGP', presumably without permission, are better than the weedy ones.

It's a subjective thing. Hornet clutches aren't heavy so you can get away with shorty levers but my preference would be for a short brake lever and long clutch lever.

The ones kiddakidda bought for his SFV are still going strong on mine.

I wouldn't trust the chinky ones again, had them on my CBR and the adjuster used to slip off, catching me out once or twice because I had to pull the levers further to brake. Took them off because I didn't want it to happen in an emergency stop Laughing

don't get a short brake lever, your brakes won't work, you'll bleed the system 3 times before realising that you can't pull the lever properly.

Bought a set of Chinese levers for £1 in a no reserve auction, went for short clutch and long brake, only problem I've got is that both levers hit the clocks stopping me going full lock.

This. I put a cheap Ebay set on my bike 2 years ago with no problems. Only thing I have found is the black has became more of an oxydised metalic colour and the red adjuster switch thing has turned pink in the light. No biggy for me but they havent let me down.

Ive been using Titax shorty levers for about 20 months, feel good not had any problems. Ive never used any others to make a comparison though and personally I wouldn't trust using cheap levers on my bike.
