Freeview if you have good signal.

Freesat if you do not.

Satellite (i.e. Freesat) has more bandwidth, so the possibilities are greater.

For example, during the olympics, Freesat had 24 extra high definition channels specifically for the olympics. Freeview didn't get that because of bandwidth limitations.

I would say go for freesat, unless for some reason you can't get a dish on your house...

But freesat doesn't get Dave.

You'll just have to make sure you watch the programmes on it the first time round then. Wink

To be honest, the best answer is 'both'.

I have a freesat PVR for recording and all day to day TV, and I use the freeview built into my TV if I want to watch Dave.

Freesat for me, have freeview built in to my T.V's but my aeriel is fucked, Freesat doesn't have -Dave-couldn't care less it's the same shit over and over, Yesterday-I occasionally watched this channel but don't miss enough to replace my aeriel, Quest-the only channel I really miss, still not enough to spend money.

On freesat the t.v guide is split into genres, there are more news channels, music channels, a couple more kids channels and a few extra movie channels, also the CBS channels are on it so if you're into CSI/NCIS and american jail/cop documenteries you'll have something to watch most nights, also if you can be arsed you can gain extra channels by getting frequencies off of sattelite forums and entering them into the box, ussually shit nude chat channels or shopping channels though.

We tried to get freesat working. Could never get the dish aligned properly and didn't want to pay someone to do it for us. We only managed to get this one channel of a Turkish man playing a guitar.
