Now, I haven't exactly been "on top" of my motorbike maintanence.
But with chain lubrication, is it only specific types for specific chains, or are most lubricants pretty generic.
For example, if I got some of this https://www.castrolusa.com/products/productpageo.asp?product_id=42&product_category=5 would it be okay on my chain? and how much/how should I apply it.
I know, shockingly rubbish at looking after my bike, but I'm getting there.... Embarassed

chain wax is fine i personally would recommend applying it twice a week (depending on miles etc) i do mine once every 500miles.

to apply it put the bike on a paddock stand...and just spin the rear wheel whilst spraying the stuff on to the rollers (but spray it on either the left or the right side of the rollers to make sure the inside edges and links of the chain get lubed well).

if you don't have a paddock stand just spray..and move back a little, then spray again...and move back again, and so on Wink

regards Thumbs Up

Commuting I only rack up about 60 miles a week, but in all the good weather I am going on 100 mile "test my tank limit" rides on saturday/sunday so figured I ought to really look after stuff better and learn now, before I get my bigger bike.
And thanks Smile
