I've written it for another forum. This is a copy.

Another rally with 50 years of tradition just finished.

The whole idea of Dragon Rally is truly fascinating.
You buy a ticket by the most inconvenience way (by check) few months before the rally and you don't even know where you going.
Time when it is organised means that you can expect the worse weather condition possible. Snow and/or heavy rain is something that you should be ready for. It is also very short - just one night.
And yet it's getting more and more popular every year. Tickets for 52th Rally was sold in record two weeks time. :shok:

Finding the meeting point for ticket validation could be a bit tricky as there was no address on the instructions. Following other bikes with luggage could do the job.
When validating your ticket you get instruction how to get to meeting point and a headlamp sticker to get access to the camp site.
Validated ticket could also be exchanged for goody bag.

The camp site and 8 miles way there was outstanding. Goosebumps was a common feeling.

Some people was camping there from a day before but it got really busy today. New people and their bikes where coming constantly.

Small bikes was very popular. There was LOTS of C90. Seems like it was the most popular bike.

Plenty of bikes was with side-cars. Some where used for carrying passengers, some for lagguage and some as a camping kitchen.

You rarely see any M/C trolleys on the road but there was plenty of them on the rally.

But the most important was an amazing atmosphere and people.

Why do your photos look like they were taken and developed in the late 1970's?

I kind of like it now.
