Guess your cousins gonna have a decent repair bill to pay.

Moral though, don't let anyone ride your bike! Jeez.

Here, have a gun, don't know how to use it? No matter, just point this way......

One little bit of advice - the parts will cost you about 50 quid off of ebay or breakers. Would be worth looking out for a spares/repair one with a blown engine.

Yeah, no one else will be riding it.

And no, he wont be paying, hes 17, has no job...his parents say its my own fault for letting him on it, thing is, he'd of had a severely fucked leg if i didnt hit the kill switch, he was STILL revving the fucking engine when he was laying down with his leg a few inches about the oh so quickly spinning back wheel...........I can't even bare to look at it because the whole front is just a wreck, when i look at it i just think '350 quid that i cant afford...'

Well, looks like im bikeless for a while.

If there was a crying emoticon, I would be sure to use it right now..

last time i went to a bike breakers i got an indicator + stalk and a speedo cable, cost me £2.36.

I'm positive you can nick parts off most small bikes to meet your needs. allmost any indicator will fit, and it doenst matter what they look like if you get two the same. speedo etc could be nicked from another bike. your only real trouble is the plastics and the bent metal. plastics can be very hard to find in good condition second hand, so buying new is allways a posability

straightening that bent frame is your only serious job.

Gutted mate, surely if hes 17 he must have some money to give you? That or there must be something of his you could take! Does he not want to give you the money? If I crashed someone elses bike I would repair it straight away as I would feel so guilty about it.

Hope you get it sorted cheaply.

If it makes you feel better, borrow something equally important to him, and break it.
ie - His legs. Laughing
But seriously, that does suck, I let my 12 year old brother sit on my bike, and change the gears, but I always have my hand on the clutch and one near the kill switch, never trust anyone with your bike, unless they have their own. :<

17 and no job?

Well why don't you *suggest* that he gets one Wink

If someone broke something of mine, even If I willingly let them use it, I would make them pay. And would expect someone else to do the same to me.

Why don't you go round his house and ask to watch the TV, then throw it at his daddys car, wont be your fault as they let you use it Rolling Eyes If I broke something that belonged to someone in the family, my rents would moan and shout at me until I paid up!

If you're seriously looking at that much for repairs I'd try and find a cheap bike of the same model. If you can say find a GS with a knackered engine you could probably get it for less than the total price of the parts... and have plenty more spares.

Maybe you should go and get a baseball bat and 'borrow' some of his stuff... your fault that they let you in the house.

I don't really see what it's got to do with them though... he did this to your bike when you instructed him not to. Therefore he pays, if he wants to beg mummy and daddy for the money that's his problem. If not... back to the baseball bat Wink.

Awww....mate....i feel your pain, it's a real bitch when your bike gets smashed, and even worse if its not your fault, im sure everyone on here has been there at least once. My bike is getting fixed with similar damage to yours at the front, and I found its a great idea to use pattern parts, or use breakers. I decided that if I was going to have to fix the clocks / headlamp I would get those groovy small clocks (so my speedo now reeds up to 160mph: ace!!) for £30 each, get a decent headlamp to improve night vision, buy nice chrome indicators all round, and sort my bike so its immaculate while I cant ride it (due to broken arm), it gives you something to look forward to and man, if you need anything when you dont have your bike, you need to enjoy looking forward to having it back on the road! Thumbs Up

Similar thing happened to my mates RG 125(Big bore, fully tuned) when he let someone have a go on it and wrecked that for him just after he'd got it on the road after severall months of pure dedication sorting it, at least you will know to be a bit more selective about who you let on your bike although I cant think of a harsher way to learn Sad .

I hope you get it sorted as quickly / cheaply as possible and have it back out on the road just how it was / better than it was. Really Sorry for you mate, shit happens I guess.

Unlucky mate. Thumbs Down

I'm sure you could get an old siezed one cheap enough or visit a scrap yard see what you can get your hands on. Just don't buy genuine parts or you'll be able to buy a new bike with the costs.
