When the new Top Gear started, I really enjoyed it. But I stopped watching a few years ago. It seemed the drama was much more important than the cars.
I turned off part way through an episode because the oaf kept going on about the short one's white teeth. The gag wasn't funny, and they kept flogging it, episode after episode. Yawn!

Let me know if they review any cars and I might have a look

Worth a look, they've been doing more cars and less slapstick recently.

It isn't a pure bred car show and it isn't a comedy sketch show either, it is just entertainment. Don't expect either.

Better than most other current TV I can think of.

You'll want to watch a car show then, rather than an entertainment show. I would've suggested 'Fifth Gear', but it's shit, so I won't.

It's a rather tired point whenever Top Gear comes up, it's been the same for 3-4 years now, I'm surprised those that went off it when it first deviated from being a car show have stuck with it so long!

The problem is factual car reviews are incredibly boring to the 99% of people not considering buying that particular car. Definitely not suited to a prime time tv show, more suited to a website or magazine where you can look up the information you need but nobody is going to sit and read 'What Car' cover to cover every month.

Unless you like reading adverts. Most magazines these days just consist of about 8 pages of stuff and the rest is advertising rendering them pointless. Top Gear magazine is perfect example of this. Someone brought me a copy of it to help pass the time. All it did is help me pass gas.

They should hire Tim Brook Taylor, Graham Garden and Bill Oddie to present it, a far more credible line up than the current three clowns.

+1

Clarkson bit was okay but got boring after a few minutes, looks like it should be a good series though.

Bentley was a pretty awesome rally car!

Because we pay an extortionate amount for our TV license every year and they make budget shite TV programs so have enough to pay for his "accidents".
