Just wondering is anyone else fed up with royal mail not delivering at the moment due to the snow (had 1 delivery all week). I've got two parcels that are apparently in the post mans van (this is what he told me) but he couldn't drop them off as he has a "back load" to deliver.

/end rant

He's been every day, in the snow, on his bike, in his shorts.

Your postman hates you.

My postman has been here every day, running about in his red shirt and shorts, on time, every day.

As said, your postman hates you. Laughing!

I came home from 2000 miles in 48hrs to find the postman couldn't make it the 5 miles from Salisbury to our house, poor bloke, must have such a hard time making it through the extremely fuckall levels of snow we had around these parts.

our postman gets here at 1ish

the old postman used to have a two hour lunchbreak and fuck off to the pub and have about three pints

he would then finish his round and then go back for another hour and then start collecting

then he would take the van back and then go out on the piss straght from work Shocked

If only. If I'm expecting a signed for package I try to get home for 3:30pm so I don't miss the postmans arrival about 3:45-4pm

I was expecting a first class parcel to arrive yesterday...nothing.

Similarly, I sent a V5 to the DVLA first class recorded on Thursday, checked online just now and it says it's still being processed.

And the price of stamps keeps rising.

My postman keeps leaving packages on my door step if no one is home. I want to complain but I am scared he will bloody steal my stuff or not post to me at all.

Our postie changed in the last year or two, we have a lovely man now who is pretty much always on time no matter what the weather and he is always in his black shorts and red top. Laughing!

Our old postie was just as good but he ended up getting fired from the job for the most ridiculous reason. A few days a week on his round he would pop next door to a derelict house which has a huge apple orchard out the back and quickly take a leak before continuing his round. He always hid away in the bushes so he couldn't be seen.

However, one day he stood somewhere else, still completely covered apart from one bit and a woman who lived in a house like ten houses down took a picture and put in a formal complaint to Royal Mail about it which resulted in him losing his job, complete arsehole. Rolling Eyes. He was doing his job brilliantly and just took the occasional leak in a completely covered area in a place no-one lives and some arsehole got him fired for it.

Luckily we got another postman who is just as good if not better, but I do wonder how he's getting on now and I hope the arsehole down the road didn't cause him too much hassle.

Cheers! Thumbs Up.

As sometimes craptastic as the Royal Mail can be, you'll be complaining like shit when they go under and Yodel get the contract.

My dad got his self assessment form sent back to him from the Royal Bank of Scotland down the road. He had posted it back to HMRC but they had delivered it to RBS?

Everything I send to the DVLA I send recorded. Have never had a problem and have always been able to view the digital signatures online. This is the first one that doesn't seem to have got there. So are they likely to send it back to me or will the postman sign it or? Is there a chance it's actually been delivered but it's not been signed for so it's not showing as delivered on my side?

Cheers,

Steve.

Also, if they weren't signing for them, I'd like to think the woman in the post office would have mentioned something so I'm not spending money I don't need to! Sad

Kinda glad I'm not the only one having problems, snow has gone now so they won't have any excuses. Still get onto the office in morning though to see what is happening with it, might get some free stamps out of it Laughing

They don't deserve it if they can't be bothered to actually do their job delivering mail Razz

Update:

Was finally delivered this afternoon at 1pm, this was after I had to complain online and ring up the local sorting office.

Good thing being that my indicators now flash at the same rat and at the same time, however the bulb I ordered is smaller than I expected. So going have to order a new one after I get a new headlight.

Win either way though Mr. Green
