ebike are actually quite good Shocked

Just ran a multi bike quote.

https://super-user.co.uk/insure41.jpg

and the outcome Laughing

I got around £670 for everything TPFT without the WR.
When I added the WR it went to £714.

Pretty good IMHO for 2 years NCB on 4 bikes... Think individually it came to £400 + £290 + £250 + £380 so £1320 a year. Shame they only allow 4 though... Sad

Most of them do multibike, but you won't be able to get an online quote you will need to ring them.

Ebike's prices are usually good but don't forget if you go with them you have no 3rd party cover to ride other bikes cos they don't do it.

Carole Nash have always been good for me, I have all 3 of mine on a single policy (1400 cruiser, 800 cruiser, 550 zephyr) fully comp with breakdown, european cover and other bikes for £250. But bear in mind I am old, female and have 10+ years NCD which probably helps!

Clicky to get £40 off an eBike quote.

No, I'm not on commission. Very Happy

I've only ever got 3PO from eBike, I'd be a bit disappoint if they don't offer other bike cover even on FC policies. Sad

My current policy is a carole nash multibike. Came out expensive but after telling some small porkies about other quotes I had, they came out cheapest Laughing

edit: Be careful with eBike if you have/previously had a 33bhp restricted licence. They take your 'Full Licence' date as when your restriction finished, unlike most insurers.

Because they distinguish between different types of "full" license, unlike most insurers.

They also didn't dick me over for changing 1 year of "A<=25kW" (OK, they derped it and called that "A2") to 0 years of A when I upgraded. You can verify that experimentally.

Chap in MCN got his cover a bit cheap, bawwwed about it, lost. eBike could have been clearer, but they didn't screw him. Fails all round.

Certain.

This is from their FAQ page:

Quote:

Can I ride other bikes? Am I covered third party to ride any bike? Can I ride a friend's bike? Can I get temporary cover on someone else's bike?

No.

We do not provide a 'Riding Other Bikes' extension on the policy.

The 'Riding of any bike not belonging to the policyholder' cover was originally designed for emergency use only and misuse has resulted in an increase in claims due to riders having a go on an unfamiliar bike and then crashing it (eg, someone who has just passed their test riding their friend's R1).

This in turn would have a knock on effect to all policy holders and increase insurance premiums - which is something we all want to avoid!

At eBike, we are trying to minimise costs to provide realistic premiums - if we introduce this cover across the board, premiums will go up for everyone.

We are however looking to introduce a scheme whereby people who want this cover can pay an extra premium to have it - this is still some way off though.

They did offer it, but withdrew it several years ago.

don't confuse the third party insurance yambabe is talking about with TPO insurance.

TPO is related to a particular bike,

what yambabe means is they don't insure the rider to ride other bikes (not their own on the policy)

you can still insure your bike at a tpo level as with any other insurer

I used bennetts this year for my multibike insurance upto 6 bikes.
Always go for a new quote online each year when re-insuring otherwise you'll get ripped off, even gping back to same company as online quotes are always cheaper !

Thanks for all the replys. Will try some of them after work tonight.
The pulse belongs to a friend whose had a bad car crash and is going to be off the road for some time, his insurance has ran out otherwise i would be covered TPO through my insurance on the ybr.
Ybr is £230 on its own, pulse is £320.
