Just found this https://www.ligo.co.uk/bluewave/ and thought it might be of interest. Basically it allows you to use your normal phone handset to make calls on your mobile phone when at home. Uses Bluetooth for mobile connection and can have up to 3 mobiles registered.

Put your mobile (on charge might be better) where it gets the best signal and then use your normal house phones for calls. If there's a land line connected it uses that in preference but you can switch to any of the connected mobiles to use free minutes. You can use it without a land line if you prefer, I suppose if you have a dect phone then just plug the base in and put the handset somewhere more convenient.

There's one room in the house that seems to get a half decent mobile signal so I'm hoping this is going to stop mobile calls involving contortion.
