2002 Hornet f2 - PC25??

Hey peeps just bought a 2002 hornet f2 which has a stamped code starting PC25 on the engine.

Was this engine ever standard fit into 2002 hornet or would this have been changed by a previous owner??

Any advice greatly received.

PC25 is the model of CBR600 that the hornet shares (most of) its engine with.


I don't know if a hornet engine would be stamped with that, or the hornet model number (PC34?).

I have a 2001 F2 Hornet.

Just looked at the engine No. (which I know to be the original) It also starts off PC25.
