hello all,
first post and i really am stuck .
my suzuki gs500 k3 has always run a tad ruff when i gave it a big handfull bogging ect,but a 6 weeks back i tryed to get off to work but the bike would not rev past about 2000 rpm !after much try it did and thought no more of it untill it started doing it every day and now will not rev past idle at all without stalling .iv checked the stator, battery,ht coils ,pick ups air filter checked and cleaned carb jets floats .i think its sparking on both cylinders fine .i had thought it was a weak ignition but everything Seems to check out and its getting fuel .when i lift the carb slides by hand and turn throttle it still wont rev.But if i blow gently down the carb breath pipe it will rev but not for long!

my head hurts and i really want to try and fix this now as its been a long haul!. pease help and ill love you forever!!!!

I have very little experience with the gs500.

My first thought would be torn diaphragms in the carb.

I think hmmmnz on this forum would be best help so you could pm him.
I'm sure he would not mind but he might be a bit busy building a mobile home thing.

Wink sounds to me like your jets are blocked, and the frigging gs carbs are an arse to get off as well Very Happy sounds like you are due for a good carb strip down and clean,

i cant think of it being anything else, possibly electrics but if its idling ok then i doubt it,
the gs is a very simple bike so generally when something is wrong its usually something simple to sort

Thanks for your reply ,I've checked the jets themselves but I must have missed something! One thing that did look odd was the o ring under the main jet and jet holder was a bit flat looking but it both carbs not working .i guess another carb cleaning is needed .please don't give up on me lol !.
